Worship & Community Centre, The Salvation Army Coventry

The project included the demolition and re-building of the Salvation Army Church facilities in central Coventry – the building caters for the
Salvation Army’s community and worship programmes on their established site. Extensive archaeological investigations accompanied the demolition, the site sitting adjacent to visible remains of the medieval walls. The single-storey building provides a 300 seat Church, general purpose community rooms, catering kitchen and future 1st floor expansion. The large central foyer provides a hub of activity which can be seen from the street, yet opens out onto the quiet enclosed garden adjacent to the ancient city wall.
