We are delighted to achieve planning approval for a new 70 bed care home development at Broadnook in Leicestershire. This will be part of the central hub of this brand new garden village in Charnwood.

Designed by HSSP Architects for the Care Build Group, the active frontage of the home has been organised to give as much interaction with the street scene as possible, with the bistro and dining room having large shop front windows, which really joins the community.

A design guide for Broadnook ensures all parts of the development adhere as one. The mass of the building has been broken up by elevationally treating each element as a separate entity, so it appears as a collection of converted buildings with a legible history. Varying pitched roof and eaves heights assist with this.

All rooms are ensuite with the home offering communal facilities including dining rooms, lounges, cafés, salon, cinema, multi-functional rooms and dementia care.
