Babies, little toddlers and toddlers, lovingly referred to as ‘Little Pilgrims’ are provided with wonderful facilities in this purpose built facility. Learning and development in the early years comes through play, and the building itself has been designed so the spirit of playfulness is ever present. Port holes provide curiosities, contrasting carpet flooring tiles meet with vinyl safety floors in a wiggly pattern, and tree shaped cut out style doorways lead to the cot sleeping areas. Double glazed doors from each room flow to outdoor plays areas that are a combination of hard surface and grass.

The single storey nature of the building reflects the look and scale of the existing school which allowed the inclusion of high level glazing to bring in lots of natural daylight. Practicality wise, there is a good mix of play and learning areas, complemented with toilets, changing areas, kitchens, an office, staff room and all the ancillary facilities one would expect. The petite sized chairs and tables introduce children to the concept of schooling and sharing. We have created a safe and vibrant environment which will bring many happy years to each child and their teachers.
