The beautiful cottage came with a challenging, existing layout including small rooms and disconnected out buildings. Our design needed to marry practical needs with beautiful aesthetics, respecting the charm of the original cottage.

We created light and space and unlocked the potential of the cottage by reconfiguring the existing floor plan and adding stunning contemporary oak frame extensions to both the front and back of the property.

By incorporating the existing outbuildings and improving the flow around the property, we have created modern and open plan living spaces, maximising the light and the views over the garden. The converted annex studio apartment echoes the design of the main house, creating a unified scheme.
