Architectural Assistant, Katie Searle, launched HSSP’s Thoughtful Thursday Breakfast Club which will give the team an opportunity every month to be part of a focused interactive workshop.
Linking in with April being Autism Awareness Month, the HSSP Studio got together to focus on the topic of autism in the educational sector and to discuss designing autism-friendly schools.
The ARB and RIBA have highlighted the importance of one of the key factors for the future of architecture to design more thoughtfully and be aware of inclusivity when designing.
Educational environments should be welcoming, accessible to all and create a sense of belonging so everyone enjoys the benefits of a good and supportive education connected to the broader community.
The Breakfast Club was thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended and what a great way to start the day!
