Rashmi Jayasinghe joined the HSSP Architects team for her Part 1 year out placement in June 2022 having graduated from Newcastle University in 2021. She freely admits it was a massive culture shock joining a practice and that working and university are totally different mindsets.

She has enjoyed her year which has flown by so quick, and has seen first-hand how clients’ styles, aspirations and personalities are so different to each other and has learnt how projects work and come together in the real world. Rashmi also brought her creativity to one of our MacMillan’s bakes and conjured up some chocolate chip easter bunny cookies which the team happily munched away on.

Rashmi will be returning to university to undertake her Part 2 in the 2023-24 academic year, but first is heading off on her summer travels. We wish her every success for the next stage of her architectural career.
