The wait is over…. ProCon have announced the finalists for the prestigious ProCon Leicestershire Awards 2022, and HSSP Architects are thrilled to be one of the finalists with our client, Solus Homes Limited.

The Gate, Waterside Village, Loughborough, has been recognised for the ‘Large Residential Award’ category.

Completion of phase two, saw The Gate, a new build 64 luxury one and two bedroom apartment complex, join its historic ‘sister building’ The Mill which dates from 1889. The Gate was designed to harmonise with and take inspiration from The Mill, yet have its own modern identity.

The industrial look of yesteryear was replicated by including exposed internal red brick work and detailing, high ceilings, large windows and metal columns, to invoke a feeling of times past and weave the identity of Waterside Village together as one. These have been complemented with stunning contemporary high end features that impeccably unite elements of the past with modern fundamentals.

We are delighted that our inspired designs and innovative approach continues to be recognised with the practice’s work being applauded once more.

The winners will be announced at the ProCon Leicestershire Awards evening on 10 November 2022. This sell-out event is the county’s largest celebration of the built environment and showcases the industry’s achievements. Best of luck to everyone.
